I THOUGHT Jeremy Beadle had risen from the dead and I was being pranked when read about a call centre bring fined in court earlier this week.
Apparently a call centre in England were fined a whopping £50,000 for making nuisance calls.
“That’s normal” I hear you exclaim…or so you would think.
However, the call centre in question Point One Marketing specialises in “stop nuisance calls” under their Stop The Calls brand.
Ironically the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) fined the company for making “bullying” marketing calls hilariously offering customers a call blocking device for their phones, as well as removal from cold-call databases after receiving hundreds of complaint calls.
The ICO went on to accuse the company of “aggressive cold calling”.
