A BOLLYWOOD flash mob hit the Belfast International Airport recently giving customers a taste of what to expect at the forthcoming Mela festival.
Taking place at Botanic Gardens on August 30 this is the first time the airport has been involved with the event.
So to mark the occasion the airport was visited by a flash mob of Bollywood and Chinese Lion Dancers.
Nisha Tandon, ArtsEkta Director said: “We are delighted to welcome Belfast International Airport on board as sponsor of the Mela for the first time.
“Our 2015 programme for Mela is as varied and vibrant as ever combining cutting edge international performance and new commissions with the spirit of local talent and artists.
“Staged across Botanic Gardens the jewel in Belfast¹s crown – audiences will be treated to a blend of sensations, sounds and smells.
“And with over 30,000 people expected the Mela has firmly taken it’s place as one of the region¹s flagship home grown tourism events.”
BIA Business Development Director, Uel Hoey watched the display added: “The diversity of the Mela reflects the diversity of those who live in Northern Ireland, the people who travel with us and the destinations they travel to – and we are delighted to be able to bring a flavour of this multi-cultural event to those travelling through the airport.”
