Adrian Byrne

Adrian Byrne, is well known on the local rock and metal scene for his almost iconic heavy metal beard.

But he’s decided it’s time for it to go and all in the name of charity, Autism NI, and already his campaign has clocked up over £700 for the charity.

This Saturday, Cambridge Barbershop on Stranmillis Road will take to the stage at The Pavillion on the Ormeau Road to do the deed.

And bands Nomadic Rituals and Owlcrusher will be providing the entertainment.

Adrian said: “Everyone knows I love my beard and it’s a big deal for me to shave it off so I’m hoping people give generously and make it worth my while so I can give to a very worthy cause.

“The reason I’m doing this whole thing is because my seven year old nephew and god son has autism, my sister does alot of work with autism family support groups in Newry aswell as working a fulltime job.
