The challenge involved two teams located in two different offices; one in Airport Road West, Belfast and the other in Manderson House, Gloucester. Each team undertook a virtual cycle to the other location. The two offices are approximately 360 miles apart.

Discussing the challenge Arthur Richmond, Group Finance Director, SHS Group said: “We are delighted that so many staff signed up and were willing to put their pedal power to the test to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. I would like to say thank-you to everyone who took part and to those who donated.

“This event is one of the biggest health and wellbeing challenges that the SHS group has undertaken and staff who were not cycling entered into the spirit of the event, wearing something green on the day, to encourage their colleagues who were pedalling”.

Macmillan Cancer Support Regional Corporate Business Manager, Claire Brown added: “This was a fabulous effort by all staff at SHS who pushed themselves to the limit in order to achieve this challenge.

“I’m sure there were some aching legs the next morning! A huge thank you to everyone for being so enthusiastic and at the same time raising money for people affected by cancer in our local community.”
