WORLD renowned guitarist/composer Jason Carter is set to captivate Lisburn audiences when he plays at ISLAND Arts Centre on Saturday October 24.
Displaying an extraordinary diversity of melody and mood Carter’s fusion of world music and classical styles is textural and has got passion and soul.
This is certainly one gig that will appeal to anyone who loves, great original music and those interested in great guitar technique.
Jason has worked with artists as diverse as Barbara Streisand, John Williams, Vishnu Sanju Sahai, Nigel Kennedy, John Paul Jones [Led Zeppelin], Joe Satriani, Anoushka Shankar, and Jeff Beck as well as renowned international orchestras.
Described as a “prolific artist”, he has performed in over 90 countries and has just released his 18th album Seeking the Divine, which features compositions from his 18-stringed harp guitar.
A Cross Cultural Triumph he has also developed a reputation as an ambassador for peace and intercultural dialogue by using music to open doors for communication.
Unsurprisingly, he has received honours and awards for these efforts and also support from UNESCO, The United Nations, and the British Government.
