LOCAL fashion store DV8 was one of the many retailers taking part in Belfast Fashion Week recently.

For over 20 years Belfast-based DV8 have showcased everything from general fashion to footwear and accessories, offering a local choice of branded and own brand clothing, suitable to all budgets and personalities.
Some of the country’s most well known models took to the catwalk in the store’s autumn/winter clothing, now available in store.
During the summer season, many fell in love with the beautiful and wonderfully textured fabric suede which allowed us to tap into ‘60s and ‘70s boho chic with a modernised, sophisticated twist. Was it any wonder we would get attached to suede all over again?
As winter is set to swing around quickly and many of us are already counting down to Christmas, it seems all too soon to say goodbye to suede.
With the pressure of a popular summer season on their back, during Belfast’s Fashion Week everyone’s eyes were on DV8 and the clothing they would bring out for autumn/winter.
Speaking after their catwalk show, DV8 Fashion Buyer Ann-Marie Dogherty said: “Texture is a must this season so join the suede parade with our latest range of dresses & boots for the colder months.
“What we love about this trend is the versatility & no boho look would be complete without the ultimate fringed effect.
“Try a new colour to reinvent your take on the trend with our burgundy midi dress or keep it classical with hues of tan & brown.”
So, if you bought some fabulous suede last season it will be bang on trend this season too, allowing you to dress lightly or cosily with fabulous woollens for a comfy autumn/winter glow.
Fashion Week Director Cathy Martin added: “In terms of fabrics and textures, winter often brings more interesting tactile looks, and this season suede and luxurious velvet are celebrated as well as a bit of fluff and fur.”
Pair up a suedette dress with tassled boots or a tassled backpack to maintain the boho chic look DV8 have been exhibiting since the summer. Natural colours including shades of tan, beige, burgundy and brown are all popular choices among the new range.
Gone are the days when fashion takes a back-seat to comfort as DV8’s cosy new autumn/winter range ensures that you will be looking stylish in suede until at least next spring.
