A FESTIVAL celebrating health and wellbeing will took place in Belfast last month.
Organised by sound therapist Tessa Greer, the first TONIC Health & Wellness Festival at T13 in the Titanic Quarter the event featured a range of health and wellbeing exhibitors, practitioners, workshops and talks.
From highlighting a range of health and wellness options on offer for individuals and families from all walks of life and offering a selection of nutritious healthy food and drink options to giving visitors free trials of a range of complementary therapies, the event is set to welcome a whole host of people and exhibitors to T13.
Tessa Greer, who is a sound therapist with her own company The Sound Healing Spa, said: “At the festival we had a range of natural, complementary and conventional therapies represented as well as complementary therapy taster sessions, talks and workshops in everything from yoga and Tai Chi to personal development as well as personal training demos, a kids and families area, creativity and wellbeing exhibitors, music and dance performances amongst many other things.”
“Through the work I now do, it is very much focused on encouraging others to pay attention to and improve their own health and wellness. The work I deliver and the way in which I deliver it is very much about raising awareness around what people can do to help themselves, over and above the time the take out of their lives to come along to my sessions.
“Putting the TONIC Health & Wellness Festival together allowed me to pull together my personal and working experience of this industry so far, the people who contribute to this industry and my previous experience of working on and organising festivals and events.
“The response has been fantastic and as a result we’re planning a much bigger event at the end of Spring 2016.”
