£5,000 Raised For The Royal Belfast Hospital For Sick Children By Local Firm

THE Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children has been awarded £5,000 as a charitable donation from the staff of Progressive Building Society’s Head Office.

The charity was nominated for financial support by Progressive staff and the money will be used within the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit to help purchase vital new equipment to diagnose and treat the hospital’s young patients, to provide facilities and services for families, and to fund research into children’s illnesses.

Michael Boyd Progressive’s Finance Director said: “At Progressive, we are actively involved in all the communities we serve and our staff are committed to supporting our charity work. We are proud to be supporting such a worthwhile cause.”

Progressive staff have been actively involved with fundraising and have participated in several activities throughout the year to help raise much needed funds for the charity.

Michael outlined Progressive’s local charity pledge and its support of Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children he added: “At Progressive we are committed to playing a key role in fundraising for local charities such as Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. This year we are supporting 14 charities and by the end of the year will have donated a minimum of £70,000 to these charities.”
