CONLETH Kane’s cover of River, originally by Joni Mitchell, is taking Northern Irish radio by storm.
Kane made the move to London back in 2003 to study at the prestigious Conservatoire of Musical Theatre ‘ArtsEd’, whose past pupils include the likes of Julie Andrews and Will Young.
He said: “River is one of the most requested songs on Downtown Radio and Cool FM this Christmas! I’m so delighted!”
On graduating he went straight into Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit touring musical Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat then the international tour of Walt Disney’s Beauty And The Beast.
He landed his first West End job in the controversial Naked Boys Singing and also appeared in musicals back home in Northern Ireland including The Wizard of Oz and the cult hit Molly Wobbly.
Alongside the release of River, he is also treading the boards in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs at the Grand Opera House playing the role of Skipper alongside May McFettridge and Chico.
