AN Irish beauty pageant is calling on Northern Ireland’s hottest bikini babes to get in touch.

The Miss Bikini Ireland Model Search this year is expanding to crown a local winner as their first ever Miss Bikini Northern Ireland.

After five years of the competition, organisers say they have been overwhelmed with the stunning entrants north of the border.

Last year Frontier Model Jade Entwistle, from Belfast, took judges by storm in the finals narrowly missing out on the top spot which went to 21-year-old Rebecca Hanley from Rathfarnham, Dublin.

Rebecca competed at World Finals Swimsuit USA International with models from across the globe to finally place 9th in the world out of 70 countries in Punta Cana.

20-year-old Jade said: “I absolutely loved getting involved in the competition. I enjoyed the photoshoots and videoing of the of the whole thing for TV as I’m in my comfort zone being videoed and interviewed.

“I can’t wait to tune in to watch it on Irish TV, it’s really exciting to see it all pieced together.”

Earlier this month (Saturday April 9) the first of a four week series was shown on Irish TV (channel 191) in over 100 countries worldwide.

The series follows each of the contestants and their journey and will give Northern Ireland girls a taste of what’s to come this year.

The winner of the Miss Bikini Northern Ireland title will be in line to compete for the overall Miss Bikini Ireland title with the chance of scooping over €15,000 in prizes which last year included all expenses paid trip to World Finals Swimsuit USA International for seven days.

Organiser Greg Ryan said: “We are now seeking ladies from across the Ireland and Northern Ireland to represent their city, town, county, or local business.

“We begin filming in May for Series 2 which will be aired in November this year.

“What makes Miss Bikini Ireland different to other model searches is that we have no height restrictions and allow tattoos to a limit. We also welcome women with kids and no experience.”
