X-Men: Apocalypse To Hit UK Screens This Week

The long-awaited X-Men: Apocalypse is due to hit UK cinema screens this week and fans can expect brand new actors along with the traditional amount of Marvel-style adrenaline.

xmen-apocalypse-gallery-01-gallery-imageDirected by Bryan Singer and starring Oscar Isaac, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, X-Men Apocalypse sees Professor X leading a team of young X-Men to save mankind from a powerful and immortal mutant that has plans to cleans mankind and create a new world order.

Is anyone else drawing a thinly-veiled Donald Trump parallel here? No? Anyway…

Since the dawn of civilization the invincible mutant, Apocalypse, was worshiped as a god. With his numerous powers and…well…immortality, the team are in for a rough ride if they’re going to save the world from total destruction. But given previous efforts I’m sure they’ll come through and give fans a climactic, action-filled movie experience in the process.

Dissatisfied with the world he awakens to after thousands of years, Apocalypse sets about recruiting a formidable team of fellow mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new system over which he will rule.

Will the X-Men stop their greatest nemesis before it’s too late? Most likely. Will it be awesome to watch how they do it? Definitely.
