The Conjuring 2 Hits Cinemas June 17

Demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren are back in New Line Cinema’s highly-anticipated sequel to The Conjuring and the supernatural thriller is set to be even more terror-inducing than ever.

gallery_2Director James Wan will once again take horror fans on a paranormal journey, this time set in north London at the home of a single mother and her four children.

In 2013 The Conjuring enjoyed record-breaking success at the box office, with critics lauding it as one of the best horror movies in recent years (and I still have chills from the ending).

Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star in their original roles as they attempt to investigate the house plagued by demonic spirits. Based on real-life paranormal investigators who founded the England Society for Psychic Research in 1952 and dealt with over 10,000 cases in their career, The Conjuring 2 promises to thrill even the most scare-proof of fans.

Vera and Patrick’s chemistry on screen has always been incredible and James Wan always manages to deliver a truly terrifying story without gratuitous horror. It’s no surprise that Empire Online have approved the film as “a worthy follow-up to the original.”
