Meditation is an effective tool to combat stress, depression, anxiety and other negative states of mind. This Saturday 16 July the Potala Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Belfast invites you to take part in a full day retreat where you will learn how to meditate.
Through meditating we can develop a habit of thinking positively, which leads to the experience of a more relaxed mind. In this full day course the basics of meditation are clearly explained, including how to establish and maintain a practice.
You will discover simple, practical instructions on how to improve your inner peace and apply this to all aspects of life. The course is suitable for anyone from complete beginners to those with many years of experience.
No special clothes are needed, just wear something comfortable. During meditations participants sit on chairs, but if you prefer you are welcome to sit on a cushion on the floor.
The retreat will consist of four meditations combined with four teachings, each session will last for one hour. Each meditation will be introduced and explored through the teachings and light refreshments will be available.
