HBO Release Game of Thrones Season 7 In-Production Teaser

HBO really do know how to tease their fans. With over 1.5 million views since its release at the weekend, the new Game of Thrones Season 7 In-Production Teaser trailer already has us pining for 2017 when the series resumes and all will be right in the world once more.

Okay, so it doesn’t really give anything away about the next season, but there’s lots of exciting drilling and sewing and general set making combined with cool music and dialogue from season 6. And this makes us happy.

We also get to hear Tyrion speaking to Daenerys at the end: “Welcome home, my Queen.”…a tantalising reminder that Dany has almost arrived in Westeros. Granted, it may take her another year but that’s nothing compared to the three decades we’ve waited for her to actually get on the boat.

Producers have also confirmed a later start date than usual for season 7 due to the necessity for colder conditions during filming this year.

Casey Bloys, president of HBO programming, said in a statement last week:”Now that winter has arrived on Game of Thrones, executive producers David Benioff and D B Weiss felt that the storylines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing.

“Instead of the show’s traditional spring debut, we’re moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule.”

Damn you global warming. Damn you.

The new production teaser may be nothing more than just that, but at this point we’ll take what we can get.
