There are many, some might say too many, opportunities for young companies to pitch to investors. London especially is full of accelerators, angel groups, investor fora and so on. Indeed some of investors say that they get a bit tired of seeing the same companies pitching to often the same investors at meeting after meeting.
But there’s something different about pitching at a Palace – especially one as luxurious as St. James on the Mall. But it’s not the location, great as it is, that’s the point here. It’s the audience.
Pitch@Palace, spearheaded by, The Duke of York who is the Patron of Catalyst Inc, offers entrepreneurs the chance to get their business idea in front of a global audience of influencers who can catapult it to the next level.
Now as you might expect, competition to get into this amazing room is tough, especially as P@P only runs twice each year.
Catalyst Inc, supported by Bank of Ireland, hosted the first ever NI regional event at Hillsborough Castle in September, and it is credit to the quality and talent of our entrepreneurs that four local entrepreneurs have been selected to go to St James, with two of them winning the opportunity to pitch to the influential audience.
JumPack, who won Invent last month and Senergy NI will be flying the local flag as two of the 15 entrepreneurs pitching, with Automated Intelligence (based at Catalyst Inc) and BeccaHumeDesigns (finalist of Invent) joining them at St James Palace.
We are all now able to get involved through the People’s Choice Award. This prestigious award showcases all 42 Entrepreneurs who are attending St James Palace. Each Entrepreneur has recorded a pitch and the public simply vote for their favourite Entrepreneur.
The winner of the People’s Choice Award vote is announced at the main Pitch@Palace event at St. James’s Palace.
