This week (November 14) #thronewatch took a trip to the heart of Game of Thrones territory in Northern Ireland and enjoyed a royal stay at The Fullerton Arms, Ballintoy.
One of NI’s most popular getaway spots, the Game of Thrones-themed guesthouse boasts a warm, welcoming atmosphere, delicious GoT inspired dishes and the 6th official #doorofthrones – a Targaryen inspired door carved from wood saved from The Dark Hedges, an iconic Thrones filming location.
This isn’t the first time #thronewatch has escaped to Ballintoy to take in the stunning scenery, nearby Game of Thrones filming locations and second-to-none service that is always guaranteed at The Fullerton Arms.
Over the last year, business has boomed for owners Sean and Geraldine McLaughlin as fans from across the globe have flocked to the guesthouse and made it an essential stopping-point of any Game of Thrones location tour.
The Fullerton Arms has also recently been awarded Best Dog Friendly pub in Northern Ireland in the DogBuddy Pubs Awards and has a host of exciting family offers lined up over the Christmas period, including Santa Sundays – a visit from Santa himself, gifts for the kids and some festive face painting from his little elves.
Their delicious new menu has also just been launched, and to celebrate the Causeway Coast & Glens Restaurant Week all canine friends eat free between 12 and 20 November!
Bring your doggies along for a special treat and warm up next to the crackling fire. Then wrap up and take a dander down to Ballintoy Harbour just minutes from the guesthouse and see if you recognise a key Game of Thrones filming location (Hint: What is dead may never die!)
Winter is here and The Fullerton Arms are making it their best one yet. Get into the Thrones spirit and check out more at fullerton-arms.com or connect on Facebook www.facebook.com/fullertonarmsballintoy.
