Tesco NI Unveils The Next Generation Of Shopping At Flagship Newtownbreda Store

Tesco NI has invested over £2.1 million in the layout of its new look Tesco Newtownbreda store to give Northern Ireland shoppers an unparalleled shopping experience, providing a host of brand new features and extended departments within and beyond the grocery aisles, helping to make shopping easier for customers in time for the busy festive period.

v19a4137Highlights of the store refit include a modernised, new café where meals are cooked freshly to order. Continuing its long-standing support of local producers, customers now benefit from Northern Ireland’s largest produce department, abundant with an even greater variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, across a greater floor area making it much more user friendly for customers.

Similarly, a completely new-look more spacious beers, wines & spirits department offers a vast array of choice for customers, including many locally sourced craft beers, ciders and spirts.

We are very proud to have taken direct customer feedback onboard when designing the fit-out and we now have state of the art store that is unmatched in Northern Ireland. The improvements coupled with the host of Tesco colleagues around the shop floor to help shoppers during this time will create a first rate Christmas shopping experience for our customers”

15253593_1257100354349093_8833442997798078750_nRenowned for its fresh food, Tesco NI is pleased to bring the expertise and passion of a traditional local butcher with the new Primacy Farm Butchery counter, which now offers a selection of the most popular products from the family farm butchery based outside Bangor, Co Down.

The new offering provides great value while delivering on Tesco NI’s commitment to sourcing locally, with 100% of the meat sourced in Northern Ireland.

A new community room has also been created to offer local charities and community groups a vital new venue in which to host charitable events, free of charge. Bookings can be made through the store’s community champion.

A new fleet of freezers has been installed within the frozen aisles, while a new Customer Service Desk has also been set up to offer quick and easy assistance to shoppers. Extra self-service tills have been provided to offer customers an alternative to the regular checkouts.
