Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has enticed fans of the show by revealing there will be a ‘huge cliffhanger’ during the penultimate season.
The 19-year-old actress, who plays Arya Stark in the hit HBO show, recently spoke to Time Out about Game of Thrones’ imminent conclusion and her fears for the youngest Stark daughter as the writers begin their annual cull of GoT characters.
Maisie told Time Out: “It’s just kind of tumbling now. We’ve come to the climax and it’s rolling down to the end. It’s exciting. I really felt like at the end of last season, everything was set up for how it was going to end.
“Every character came to a little junction in their lives, and now we’re all going to crash down together to however this show ends.”
When asked what else to expect, Maisie laughed and said: “A huge cliffhanger”.
Nominated for a 2016 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the Thrones, Maisie is set for to see her career reach new heights with or without the show.
She told Time Out: “There are rumours that if you make it from season one to season eight there’s a tattoo that we all get.
“We’re all waiting to see if we do make it. I was lucky enough to be in season one, even the pilot episode. If I do make it to season eight I will get it. It would be rude not to!”
Catch Maisie in the new sci-fi movie iBoy now streaming on Netflix. She also features in the upcoming romance A Storm In The Stars along with Elle Fanning as “Frankenstein” writer Mary Shelley and Douglas Booth as poet Percy Bysshe Shelley.
The film by groundbreaking Saudia Arabain female director Haifaa al-Mansour is due for release later this year.
