The Department for Infrastructure is currently running a number of public consultation events across the city to give people the opportunity to have their say in the development of the Belfast Bicycle Network.
The draft network proposals outline the potential for around 130 kilometres of convenient and continuous bicycle routes for the city which will result in two thirds of all Belfast City Council residents being within 400 metres of a quality bicycle route.
The next consultation dates will run on:
Monday 13th March in Disability Action, Portside Business Park, Airport Road West, BT3 9ED from 4-5.30pm
Monday 13th March in Eastside Visitors Centre, 278 – 280 Newtownards Road, Belfast, BT4 1RE from 7-8.30pm
Wednesday 15th March in Spires Conference Centre, Wellington Street, Belfast, BT1 6DW from 4-5.30pm
The consultation process will run until 13th April 2017. Further information and a copy of the draft Belfast Bicycle Network can be downloaded here: https://www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/consultations/draft-belfast-bicycle-network-2017-consultation
