Fans of The King are singing Hallelujah as NI’s favourite ‘Elvis’ brings gospel to the Cathedral

EUROPE’S leading Elvis tribute singer, Jim ‘The King’ Brown is bringing the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s gospel music and more to St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast to celebrate the faith of Presley, his songs and his life.

Jim will be staging a performance in which the audience can share in Elvis’ gospel recordings as well as some of his most famous rock ‘n’n roll songs.

Titled ‘The Two Sides of Elvis’ it will be a show with reverence and respect for the surroundings, but will also be in harmony with the transformative power of Presley’s high octane tunes.

Jim Brown as Elvis

“Elvis was well known for being a spiritual man who not only remained true to his faith – even in his darkest days – but loved celebrating his faith on stage singing gospel music,” said Jim.

“Of his 14 Grammy nominations three of them were to become some of his most famous gospel music – You’ll Never Walk Alone, He Touched Me and How Great Thou Art.

“I’m delighted to get the opportunity to bring Elvis’ two passions in life together – gospel and rock n’ roll.”

Jim’s career has seen him sell more than one million albums, record and perform with The Imperials – Elvis’ gospel choir – and with Presley’s own band, The Memphis Boys.

“The show at St Anne’s Cathedral will be filled with those big hits we love accompanied by a gospel choir and some amazing instrumentation from the Ionian String Quartet,” he added.

“I look forward to all my shows but this one is going to have an amazing sound, the acoustics in St Anne’s are beyond magical. I can’t wait to share the experience with Elvis lovers from across the country.”

Tickets for The Two Sides Of Elvis on Friday April 21 are priced £20 and on sale at St Anne’s Cathedral or from www.musicglue.com/belfast-cathedral.
