This summer there’s a whole load of festivals you’ll be wanting to attend, with some of the biggest names in music travelling over to Northern Ireland to put on incredible shows. For fans of all genres, these festivals will brighten up the summer, whether the sun is out or not!

1. AVA Festival
(June 2-3 – Belfast)

Hosting a UK and Ireland debut of Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind by Jeff Mills and Guillaume Marmin, AVA festival is set to introduce electronic and dance listeners to a whole heap of new artists and remind them of old favourites this summer.

2. Holywood Harmony Festival
(June 2-4 – Holywood Rugby Club)

4. Belfast Book Festival
(June 7-17 – Belfast)

Now in its seventh year, the Belfast Book Festival will span over 10 days. With local and international stars of all genres, the festival is dedicated to supporting rising authors and their stories. This year, the festival will be running the Mairtin Crawford award for poetry to celebrate unpublished poets. A full programme is expected later in May.

5. Soma Festival

6. Belsonic
(June 13-30 – Ormeau Park, Belfast)

Headlined by Arcade Fire and The 1975, Belsonic 2017 is looking to be bigger and better than ever. For the tenth anniversary, the festival will be taking to a new location and huge international pop names will be visiting Belfast, such as Jess Glynne and The Chainsmokers to perform their well-loved hits to thousands of fans.

8. Belfast City Blues Festival
(June 23-25 – Belfast)

Back with a whopping 50 gigs across 22 venues from June 23-25, now in its 9th year the Belfast City Blues Festival is one of the biggest blues festivals in Ireland and Northern Ireland and is the widest reaching music festival in Belfast. With it’s loyal following The Belfast City Blues Festival, headline sponsored by American Holidays draws crowds from far and wide.

9. Dalriada Festival

11. Sunflower Fest
(July 28-30 – Tubby’s Farm, Hillsborough)
