Album Review: Postcards From The Caravan by Aindre Reece-Sheerin

It’s taken me quite a while since receiving this CD to write this review. I’m never able to consciously judge any music until I get to know it.

“Postcards From The Caravan” is well thought out and very professionally put together. Musicians like this should be bottled and sold!

Aindre Reece-Sheerin, his fellow musicians and contributors should be very proud of the work on Postcards From The Caravan. Each song is very different from the others and Aindre’s voice adapts to each musical style with ease.

The wee touch of the Northern Ireland accent makes it even more special in my humble opinion. “I Still Think of You” received many a play in my car – it’s fun, upbeat and so catchy!

Individually the songs on the CD capture all of our moods. In this little disc of delights, you can hear a bit of a rascal, a wee bit of catharsis and some comfort in the form of the most touching song, “Thank God, it’s Saturday”.

The wonderful voiceovers at the beginning are clever, poignant and a beautiful touch. Backing vocals and harmonies add to the richness of this special song – it’s like a big warm hug. Overall, a wonderful body of work and highly recommended!
