HARD rocking frontman of Northern Ireland’s The Answer, Cormac Neeson is heading to Nashville, Tennessee in January to record an album of country, soul, folk and laid back rock songs.
Familiar to audiences as the man with iron lungs pumping out stadium rockers Neeson is taking the time to lay down a series of deeply personal tracks for the album ‘White Feather’ that have been almost two years in the making.
When The Answer concludes touring on the back of the chart-smashing album ‘Solus’ the NI-singer will be jetting off to the heart of country music.
As The Answer were gracing stages across Europe Neeson has been writing songs with some of the biggest names in Americana music.
Including Tennessee songwriter of the year, Corey Lee Baker, Steve O Brien, Blue Miller, James Elliott and Allen McKendree Palmer the writers have more than 30 million song sales between them.

Taking this courageous move into a new style of music it is not the end of The Answer. On Saturday 16th December the band end their year with a special show in the Diamond Rock Club, Ahoghill.
With Christmas with family over Neeson will then jet off to Nashville to lay down ‘White Feather’ in one of the most prestigious studios in the state.
Blue Miller was the guitarist of the legendary Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band -immortalised for Irish listeners when Thin Lizzy covered their song ‘Rosalie’.
Miller has continued his career as a songwriter and has his own purpose built studio and has worked with dozens of chart topping stars such as India Arie.
The album promises to explore some of the personal issues that Neeson has faced over recent years.

Not that the man is ever not busy. As well as The Answer he plays regularly as the frontman in the Unholy Gospel Choir’s Sunday sessions at Belfast’s Aether & Echo and runs singing lessons for many chanters who need to develop their technique and style.
Having played in massive stadiums as support for the likes of AC/DC Neeson has learned the licks from watching some of the best in the business, adding to his own incredible natural talent.
With ‘White Feather’ that talent is set to spread across genres and will set the US alight.
