When it comes to colour this season “pink is the new black” and you won’t be able to get enough of it.
The blush colour palette that has been popular for a couple of years is here to stay, and it’s bringing a tonal cacophony of pink shades with it. From rosy ruffles to bubblegum pink shifts, and muted rose knitwear to fuchsia silks, pink is the colour of the season.
Justine Carreon from fashion bible, Elle, said: “Millennial pink is everywhere this season, but we’re inclined to wear it with a pop of rouge. Following the likes of Coach 1941, Brandon Maxwell, and Oscar de la Renta, the sherbet colour combo will hit stores in early Spring.”

Mixing and matching pink shades is a new trend to hit the catwalks for SS18, but adding red accent detail to complete the look? Who would have thought it? While normally considered to be a clashing combination, pink and red can work really well when done right.
A pink or red shoe can make a bold statement, and pink or red accents will add a pop of colour to any outfit. If you want to go all-out, do a full pink outfit with a great print to break it up.
From March 22-25, Northern Ireland’s top models will take to the catwalk for a four-day fashion festival that celebrates the best in local retail and design talent.
West Coast Cooler FASHIONWEEK is back for its twenty-fifth season, showcasing the best that Spring/Summer 2018 has to offer.
Spotted at the FASHIONWEEK launch recently making the most of the pink trend were:
Enya Sullivan, who opted for muted tones in a silk fabric, paired with on-trend feather detailing and a longline printed robe, acing the nightwear as daywear look.

Enya Sullivan
Emma Mooney mixed fabrics and textures with her pink colour combo, with a striped and ribbed light knit completing the Spring look.

Chloe Henning gave a subtle nod to the trend with her accessories.

While CMPR’s own, Cathy Martin, who is also the FASHIONWEEK Director, rocked the all-pink outfit with mixed textures and a graphic print skirt.
