Waterpark Fun At Knockbracken Reservoir

The May Day Bank holiday weekend marked the grand opening of Belfast’s new multi-million pound outdoor watersports park – LETS GO HYDRO.

The waterpark is situated on the stunning forested grounds of Knockbracken Reservoir, boasting views across Belfast.

Proprietor Pete Boyle plans to develop the site into an international watersports mecca and visitors can enjoy both the Aqua Park and a Cable Wakeboard Park.

The Aqua Park features an inflatable obstacle course on water that is ideal for adults and children alike. You can climb up the XXL Action Tower and jump off into the water or bounce around on the water trampoline. The park is perfect for birthday parties, hen and stag dos and corporate events.

The Cable Wakeboard Park is open to beginners and advanced riders. It features a jump and a long slider for advanced users and the Rixen system has fantastic tension for air-tricks.

This season there will be a giant aqua challenge course on site and the park will also host the All Ireland Cable Wakeboard Championships on June 23 and 24, at which visitors can also learn how to wakeboard. Local stars participating in the latter event include David Coates from Moneyreagh and Jonathan Crawford from Hillsborough.

Additional facilities include barbecue huts, picnic tables and glamping pods.
