By now, you’ve probably already heard of and tried the Dele Alli challenge. If not, here’s the lowdown!
The Spurs footballer sent the nation into a frenzy with his goal celebration at the weekend.
He first used the celebration when he scored the winning goal against Newcastle United and many fans took to Twitter to voice their confusion at it. The celebration in question involves putting your thumb and index together in a circle, then attempting to put it around your eye while your three other fingers rest against your forehead.
After the game Dele himself went live on Instagram with teammates Fernando Llorente and George N’Koudou where he tried to teach the mind boggling celebration to them. It quickly turned to him mocking them over their inability to do the celebration.
This, like most things, has blown up online, becoming a massive trend. Celebrities such as Olly Murs and Jesse Lingard are attempting the “Dele Alli Challenge” along with people from across the globe.
So we tried it here in the office…I think we did alright – what do you think?
