  1. George Ezra: Shotgun

The number one single from his second album ‘Staying at Tamara’s’, Ezra has taken the world by storm with the upbeat tune that is ‘Shotgun’. It has hogged the top spot in the charts for a number of weeks now and has featured in the Top 40 for an astonishing 21 consecutive weeks. Ezra wrote the song in Barcelona where he was spending time off after a hectic touring schedule. A great song that is guaranteed to be a perfect icebreaker at a party as absolutely everyone knows and loves it!

  1. Loud Luxury feat. Brando: Body

A tropical house tune at it’s finest ‘Body’ is one of those songs that as soon as you hear it you just want to dance! It was originally meant to be a much slower hip-hop song but when DJ duo Loud Luxury got hold of a demo from up and coming singer Brando they decided to mess around with it before changing the style of it completely to create the masterpiece that it is today. Currently sitting pretty at number 6 in the charts ‘Body’ is an up tempo song designed to get everyone up on the dance floor.

  1. Drake: In My Feelings

Anyone else spent their whole summer with ‘Kiki do you love me’ stuck in their head after hearing this? This song is a club-mixed love letter to “Kiki,” “KB,” and the members of City Girls. The track centres on Drake wondering if they still love him. It is heavily based on vocal samples, with New Orleans bounce track ‘Smoking Gun’ by Mangolia Shorty mixed with City Girls vocals sampled on it. The song went viral after comedian Shiggy uploaded a video of him dancing to the tune and his choreographed dance which he is seen performing in the clip was labelled the ‘In My Feelings Challenge’ which people around the world including Drake himself have attempted. For some fun and games get everyone a your party to try the ‘In My Feelings Challenge’ and see who comes out on top.

  1. Au/Ra & CamelPhat: Panic Room

A more mellow club tune this song is insanely catchy. Following up from the success of number one single ‘Cola’ CamelPhat’s remix of the original song by Au/Ra has been sweeping dance floors across the nation since its release in March. Au/Ra wrote the original song about anxiety something which she didn’t think artists talked about enough in their tracks. With help from DJ duo CamelPhat however, the remixed version has been a mainstay in the charts for the past 13 weeks and whilst not the most upbeat, is still a great dance tune that you don’t need really have to dance you can merely sway yourself from side to side. Ideal tune to keep the party going as it gets late.

5. M-22: First Time

Whilst released in December last year ‘First Time’ only shot to prominence midway through this year. My personal favourite song on this list the euphoric beat in the chorus of this track screams summer anthem and it has certainly lived up to that tag spending 23 weeks so far in the Top 40. Produced by German/British DJ duo M-22 who have previously made remixes for the likes of Avicii and Axwell & Ingrosso ‘First Time’ is the perfect tune to play to get the party really going, so ensure you have it blasting at full volume on the speaker.

  1. Clean Bandit feat Demi Lovato: Solo

Whilst its a super breakup song ‘Solo’ can also be a floor filler. The pop/EDM track is sung by Demi Lovato who never actually met Clean Bandit whilst making the song. She recorded the vocals in a studio in Alabama and  combined the music with Clean Bandit over FaceTime. This track takes you back togroup’s unique dance groove roots and is great to play when the party is in full swing.

  1. Jonas Blue feat Jack & Jack: Rise

The king of commercial EDM Jonas Blue has delivered again here with his latest release ‘Rise’. A feel-good house-pop tune about a generation that refuses to give up, Blue teamed up with Nebraskan vocalists and pop duo Jack & Jack who provide the vocals on this one, whilst he did what he always does, produce a bouncy and infectious beat which compliments the lyrics very nicely. A hype tune if there ever was one this has to be played at your party.

  1. Calvin Harris feat Dua Lipa: One Kiss

Many of you may argue that this song is washed out having been played over and over again on every radio station in the land, but few would deny that every time they hear it they sing or bop along to it. Although only a few months old it has the billing of a timeless classic in house tune terms. With pop sensation Dua Lipa on vocals and superstar DJ Calvin Harris on decks it was never going to disappoint was it? A world away from Calvin Harris’  previous hit summer anthem ‘Summer’ the deep house track has the tropical summer vibe which few can perfect never mind keep reproducing like Scottish powerhouse Harris has managed in recent years. A sure fire successful song that is likely to get everyone in the party spirit a get together in 2018 would not be complete without it.

  1. Tiësto & Dzeko ft. Preme & Post Malone: Jackie Chan

In the music industry today it is not alien to see hip hop and electronic music crossing over like it would have been in the past. A prime example of this comes in the form of legendary DJ Tiësto’s new track with the hottest artist in hip hop right now Post Malone. Tësto along with fellow DJ Dzeko took this minimal hip-hop track which Post had already released on his album and pumped a doseof summer energy in the form of strumming guitars, and a pinch of house vibes, to turn it into an irresistible dance tune. It’s currently flying high at 8 in the charts and will please EDM and hip hop fans alike at the party.

  1. Cheat Codes, Little Mix: Only You

Little Mix returned to the charts in July with ‘Only You’, thefirst single that they have released in over 10 months. The X Factor 2011 winners made their first steps into the EDM world for this song having teamed up with pop-dance crossover specialists Cheat Codes for the ambient, sun-tinged tune. A track designed with a summer dance floor in mind it will be a tune which every one may not be familiar with at first but will have fallen in love with by the end of the song.
