For the last two-three weeks I have been doing work experience with the company Excalibur Press.
The first morning we were here we sat down and had a meeting about what we wanted to do and experience for the two and a half weeks we were here. To be completely honest I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do. I just know I was here to experience what it’s like to work.
We were tasked to find things to improve and what we would want to do when here, so we did. We gave suggestions and then started working on our own things. The first piece that I wrote was the one on the Dele Alli challenge. It might not have been that good butI have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed writing about it.
Throughout the weeks I wrote a few more pieces on things like places to visit and a few other things like that. In the meantime we were given access to some of the social media pages. This was something which I took quite fondly to.
I was able to share and post things to the page to try and grow it. I then went to the insights and compared the fans to the people reached. This was to show who the real audience are and not just the people who have liked the page. This was a real benefit to help teach myself how these kind of things work.
I quite enjoyed this and so I got added to other pages to do the same. We also went to the BBC radio station to listen in on Tina’s interview. It was amazing to see what radio stations do behind the scene. We had pictures taken around the place and seeing how many people are needed for one show is amazing, each one having their own things to do and constantly having to communicate. It is an impressing thing to be able to do on the spot.
But anyways, altogether this has been an amazing experience and I am happy that I have had the opportunity to be part of the team at Excalibur Press.
