American DJ and Producer Marshmellow will make his highly anticipated first appearance in Belfast when he plays Ormeau Park on Wednesday 26th June.
Electronic DJ Marshmellow, whose real name is Christopher Comstock, is a quirky character, with the alternative spelling of his name as well as the large, white, custom made marshmallow mascot head he can be seen sporting on stage at the various high profile festivals he plays across the world. To date, these have included sets at Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival and Ultra Musical Festival in Miami.
He is quickly gaining a reputation as the king of collaborations having produced numerous pop hits which have already been certified multi-platinum around the world. These include songs such as ‘Friends’, ‘Wolves’, ‘Happier’ and ‘Silence’ which he teamed up with some of the most talented artists around to make in the form of Anne Marie, Selena Gomez, Bastille and Khalid.
He appeared in Forbes magazine in 2017, placing eighth on their annual ranking of the world’s highest-paid DJs whilst he has placed 10th in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll for two years running, highlighting his international appeal in the EDM community as well as on the pop scene.
He describes his style as future bounce, which combines groove orientated synths with a heavy bass. He has already released two solo albums ‘Joytime’ in 2016 and ‘Joytime II’ in 2018 whilst he has begun work on his third album ‘Joytime III’ which should be released later this year.
He released his latest radio hit ‘Here with Me’, a collaboration with Scottish band Chvrches in March of this year and it became his fourth number one on the Billboard Dance Charts.

Marshmellow is supported at Belsonic by fellow DJ Jax Jones who has also enjoyed chart success by collaborating with a number of artists. The house DJ has an array of dance floor filling tunes which include number one single ‘I Got You’ with Duke Dumont released in 2014, ‘ Like You Know Me’, with Raye which peaked at number three in the UK Singles Chart and ‘Instruction’ with Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don which has been certified gold in the UK.
He has also teamed up with Years and Years for ‘Play’, Mabel for ‘Ring Ring’ and most recently Jess Glynne for new single ‘One Touch’ which was revealed last month. He has also started a new project this year with close friend and fellow star DJ Martin Solveig called ‘Europa’ which aims to produce upbeat, club dance songs and the duo certainly lived up to the billing with the release of their first song ‘All Day All Night’ with Maddison Bear as the vocalist earlier this year.Â
Jones will embark on a European tour as part of Europa after his Belsonic cameo, which will include a set at the world famous Tomorrowland festival before he jets off to the US for his own nine-date tour.

With two chart-topping DJs and further support to be announced it promises to be a special night at Ormeau Park and tickets are still available from Ticketmaster where they are priced at £33 plus booking fee.Â
