You need stickability as well as talent.
What has been your biggest challenge to date?
Keeping positive through the Covid lockdown.
Tell us a little about your personal life, are you married, kids, hobbies etc?
I have been married to Geraldene for 40 happy years, have 3 children, and 1 grandson.
Having retired from my day job in 2016 I now enjoy presenting on Belfast 89fm and love reading & traveling.
Tell us about your most recent work?
As a member of the Illegals, I enjoy playing in theatres throughout Ireland.
What would you like us to tell people about?
I currently present two shows on Belfast 89fm – Tuesday and Friday from 10am – 12pm. Tune in and enjoy!!
If you had to describe your work to someone who has never heard of you what would you say?
A good singer of great songs covering all musical tastes.
What’s the funniest experience you’ve had in your business?
Getting lost on the way to playing a wedding reception and very glad things were running late!
What would your advice be to young people hoping to pursue the same industry?
If at first, you don’t succeed- try try again. Don’t take no for an answer.
Who do you look up to and why?
Musically I admire stars with longevity ie Tom Jones, Bowie, Springsteen, Stones.
