Harry Styles Set To Join The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Harry Styles is set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Thanos’ brother “Eros” according to a Variety journalist.

It is reported that the former One Direction star appeared during the post-credits scene of the new Marvel film, Eternals.

The 27-year-old is set to play Eros, the youngest son of two Eternals A’Lars and Sui-San. The character is described as being a “fun-loving, carefree womanizer and adventurer”, who is renamed Eros from Eron.

Little is known about the upcoming project featuring the singer-turned-actor, and there is no word on whether Josh Brolin, who plays the Titan Thanos will reprise his role.

However, director Chloe Zhao has said that Eternals will have a “very big effect” on the MCU, leaving the door open to a range of possibilities.

Eternals is set to be released on November 5 worldwide.

Harry is no stranger to the big screen, and his entry into the iconic franchise will mark his fourth feature-length film since leaving One Direction back in 2015.

The English-born star made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s 2017 film,

Dunkirk, playing a World War Two soldier called Alex. The veteran director said that despite it being his first acting gig, the star “had it”.

He also managed to land one of the leading roles in Olivia Wilde’s sophomore film, Don’t Worry Darling. He will star alongside Oscar-nominated actress Florence Pugh and Chris Pine in the psychological thriller, with the film set to be released in September 2022.

That won’t be the singer’s only feature film in 2022. He is set to star alongside The Crown’s Emma Corrin in the Amazon Prime adaptation of Bethan Roberts’ novel My Policeman.

The film follows husband and wife, Marion and Tom Burgess, as they fall in love during the 1950s before meeting Brighton Museum curator, Patrick Hazlewood, played by David Dawson.

Harry is currently embarking on his 50-date tour called ‘Love On Tour’ across North America, and will make its final stop in Little Rock, Arizona on November 24th.
