News In Brief: Workers Cite Slow Internet Speed As Sign Of An Out-Dated Office

A study of office workers found a third of us believe slow internet speeds are a sign of an old-fashioned office – and a quarter of us cite out-of-date fax machines as the ultimate sign of being behind the times.

And more than one in five of us think companies using Microsoft tools like Word or Excel – from 2003 – are stuck in the past.

When it comes to flexible working practices, a third of us would love to have a shorter working week.

Another quarter of us believe staff should be able to take a ‘wellbeing day’ when we need to recharge our batteries.
