Northern Ireland’s infamous Causeway Coastal Route has been ranked in the UK’s top 10 must-see summer road trip locations for 2022.
Coming in at number 9 overall, the 130-mile route received a score of 5.24 out of 10.
The road trip also ranked 13th for sunlight hours, 14th for road safety and 24th for tourist attractions.
The study was carried out by experts at Moneybarn, the UK’s leading lender of specialist car, van and motorbike finance. The aim of the research was to inspire those across the UK to take to the road and explore the best of what’s on offer.
Research shows that the Causeway Coastal Route had a total of:
- 59,746 Instagram hashtags
- 46,200 TikTok views
- 11,590 annual Google searches
A number of factors were investigated and analysed throughout the research process, including the top forty driving routes and reviews on TripAdvisor, accident data, social media statistics, sunlight hours and tourist attractions along the route.
