Taking place on the 3rd-4th June at Titanic Slipways, Belfast only a leap away from its former site at T13, all eyes are on the AVA festival which is set to bring in thousands of people across Ireland and beyond as tickets are purchased in a flash. Fortunately, there are still some tickets available online via avafestival.com/tickets though they are sure to run out soon.

The biggest stage AVA has ever seen will welcome massive acts to the stage including Mura Masa, Jon Hopkins DJ, Skin On Skin, Gemma Dunleavy and many more. With over 60 groundbreaking acts taking to the stage, fans are clamouring to get a weekend pass. The full line-up is an impressive list of techno favourites exploring the greatest art forms with visuals, lasers and unmissable beats for all to enjoy.

Festival season is back with live performances from Prospa, 999999999, Cartin and  Ross From Friends who are set to trailblaze on Friday 3rd. Saturday 4th will see live performances from Overmono, Soichi Terada, Giant Swan, Enola Gay and Optmst. Those are just the live performances, there are even more acts in the works, including the headliners, Bicep.

Alternative music is also at the forefront of this audio-visual festival even featuring local acts like that of I Hate Models who have a slew of releases and syntho hits including the infamous ‘Werewolf Disco Club’. Irish rapper Biig Piig will also make an appearance with her alternative music which has become significant to AVA festival, as the festival delves into techno, alternative, synth and according to AVA’s founder, Sarah McBriar we can expect more in the coming years.

“We’re excited to delve into more genres in the coming years. World music, alternative indie, hip hop- those are the areas we’re focusing on and the electronic which is always at the core.”

This year there’s even a campsite enacted in Victoria Park which is minutes away from Ireland’s techno event of the year.
