Tenor Andrea Bocelli will return to Belfast next month as he takes to the stage at the SSE Arena.
The Italian multi-instrumentalist best known for his opera performances at major events such as the Olympic Games, the World Cup, the musical show Ali Di Liberta and the Sanremo Festival will perform on Thursday September 22.
The opera star is winner of a Golden Globe award, has seven classical BRITS as well as seven world music awards and his star can even be seen on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Andrea’s latest album Believe was released in November 2020 by Sugar Music and Decca Records.
The album has a deeply personal and powerful message, featuring originals, finely crafted classical works and a never before heard track by maestro Ennio Morricone who sadly passed in July 2020 aged 91.
The album includes uplifting songs that reflect the impact of music and its ability to soothe the soul through values of faith, hope and charity,
Speaking of the album Andrea explained: “Good music brings with it a powerful message of peace and fellowship, teaching us about beauty, and helping us to open our hearts and minds.”
Inspired by the affection and positivity from his fans, Andrea established the non profit Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF) in July of 2011 supporting national and international projects to allow people and deprived communities in poverty, illiteracy, illness and social inclusion to be able to express themselves and reach their full potential.
For every Belfast show ticket sold, the ABF and PLUS1 will ensure that £1 goes to ABF Educational Projects to support children suffering in Haiti.
