BRIT Award winning multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter George Ezra is set to play the SSE Arena next month as part of his 2022 UK Tour which follows the release of his third album The Gold Rush Kid.
Ezra quickly shot to fame after releasing two EP’s Did you hear the rain? in November 2013 and Cassy O in March 2014 with his song Budapest particularly gaining attention. Shortly after, he released 2014’s third best selling album in the UK, Wanted On Voyage reaching Number one in the UK and top ten in seven other countries.
In June of this year, the musician released his third consecutive number one album in the UK, Gold Rush Kid. The thought-provoking album incorporates the perfect mix of sombre and upbeat tunes with singles such as Anyone for You (Tiger Lily), Green Green Grass and I Went Hunting.
Taken from the musician’s own experience with Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, I Went Hunting is a must listen to song that explores overthinking and trying to find escapism with lyrics such as “Change my name and book a holiday. Tryna get out my head, the fact is, I’m obsessed.”
Meanwhile, ahead of his concert on Wednesday 28th of September the star has created a game and a film for his fans.
George Ezra’s Gold Rush Experience on Roblox allows players to go on an adventure through his latest album, fly through the hoops in a Blue, Blue Sky, find the puzzle pieces, test your George Ezra knowledge and stop for virtual merch at the Gold Rush shop.
End to End is a one day only world premiere directed by Adam Scarborough and Christy Tattershall, showing on Monday August 29.
The film explores George Ezra’s life post lockdown reflecting on his passion for music and meeting other artists as he walks 1200 miles in 95 days. The screening will end with an exclusive performance from George Ezra broadcast live to various cinemas in the UK from the World Premiere in London, it’s not to be missed.
