Northern Ballet presents The Little Mermaid, showing at The Grand Opera House in Belfast from October 12 to October 15.
Made famous by the Disney film of the same name, The Little Mermaid originates from the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale and has since been adapted into many movies, books and ballet productions.
It follows the story of a young mermaid intrigued by what lies beyond the ocean, who then finds herself making the ultimate sacrifice for love.
Featuring Celtic inspired music and captivating scenes, both on land and underwater, The Little Mermaid ballet explains the heart wrenching story through beautifully choreographed dance.

With four evening performances and two matinees, there are plenty of opportunities to see the “thoroughly absorbing” show (The Stage).
Exclusive to the Thursday performance, there is a Pre-Show Talk held free of charge to ticket holders. This must be booked in advance and lasts approximately half an hour, starting at 6pm and finishing 30 minutes before the ballet starts at 7.30pm.
Ticket prices start at £17.50 and go up to £46.00 depending on which date and showing you attend.
