South America has a long and varied coastline that stretches across the Caribbean, the Pacific, and the Atlantic.
So, it’s no wonder that the beaches in South America are some of the best and most beautiful in the world.
When I travel to South America, the paradise beach towns are among my favourite places.
All over the continent, you’ll find these gems with their own charm, a relaxed atmosphere, and, of course, plenty of opportunities for water sports activities.
Well, I am not the only fan of these beaches. Lottery winners usually dream of travelling and visiting the best beaches in the world.
So, before I share the list of my favourite beaches in South America, I will briefly go through how to play the lottery.
How to play the lottery?
There are different ways to win a prize by playing the UK Lotto. First, you need to buy a ticket and pick your lucky numbers. But to win the jackpot, you need to match all six numbers drawn. However, there are four other prize tiers ranging from three points up to five points, plus the bonus ball. There are many ways to choose the numbers. The most popular is using Quickpicks or a random numbers generator.
So, after winning the lottery, let’s see the 3 paradise beaches in South America you can visit.
- El Centro, San Andres, Colombia
El Centro is the nickname of the capital of San Andres Island in Colombia. Although San Andres belongs to Colombia, the island lies just off the coast of Nicaragua. Located in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, the island offers access to some of the most pristine beaches in South America. It is the perfect place for diving and snorkelling, thanks to extensive coral reefs with a wide variety of marine life.
This paradise island is visited by travellers from all over the world in search of perfect sunsets, white beaches, and tall coconut trees. Here, the influences of Spaniards, English, Colombians, Jamaicans, and pirates blend to create a rich culture full of rhythms that move to the sound of reggae.
Spratt Bight is located at the northern end of the island near El Centro, making it easily accessible. The best thing about it is it never seems crowded, and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous.
Playa San Luis (Rocky Cay) is considered by many locals to be the best beach on the island. Its calm waters and less crowded atmosphere make beach lovers go into raptures.
- Jericoacoara, Brazil
Jericoacoara, known locally as Jeri, is a small town in northeastern Brazil. It is known for its charming beaches. Jericoacoara is one of the best places for kitesurfing and windsurfing in all of South America, but surfers also get their money’s worth here.
As Fortaleza is the nearest major city, most visitors travel from there, although this can take 4 to 6 hours. The roads leading to Jericoacoara are all sandy and pass through a beautiful dune landscape. Therefore, those arriving by bus have to switch to a four-wheel drive vehicle for the last part of the route, making the journey a bit of an adventure.
On arrival, all the stresses and strains of the journey are quickly forgotten, and one quickly gets into the relaxed Jeri mode. Although the town has grown in recent years, it consists of just three parallel sandy streets with a variety of shops, restaurants, and accommodations to cater to the mix of tourists, backpackers, water sports enthusiasts, and locals alike.
Jericoacoara beach is the best in town. It is praised for its crystal-clear waters and beautiful sand.
- Montañita, Ecuador
Montañita is in Ecuador near the Peruvian border. The dilapidated buildings and debauched nightlife make it almost kitschy, but for now, it’s still a pretty little town on the Ecuadorian coast.
With its beautiful waterfront and quiet quality of life, it’s easy to see why it’s so hard to leave Montañita. However, if you’re travelling to Ecuador and looking for a break from the urban chaos, you can enjoy the Pacific Ocean and relax on this beautiful beach.
Montañita beach is especially popular with surfers from all over the world. With beginner waves at one end and a point break that can swell up to 10 feet at the other, there are opportunities for surfers of all levels. If you’re just learning, you can take surf lessons here for around £20. In addition, surfboards can be rented all over the beach for as little as £5 to £8 a day. The best time of year to catch good waves is from December to June.
