Cult Comedy Phenomenon,The Big Lebowski is set to arrive at the Bangor Courthouse on Wednesday May 31.
Described as ‘trippy’ and ‘outlandish’, the story has become a cult favourite, and follows the adventures of Jeff Lebowski ‘The Dude’, as he is targeted in a case of mistaken identity and has his rug peed on by gangsters.
The Big Lebowski is defined as a crime comedy and was made by Joel and Ethan Coen. The brothers are best known for their neo-noir style, their unconventional characters and their technique of merging genres.
Released in 1998, the story follows The Dudes pursuit of justice, in a quirky and unexpected unravelling of events, that helped cement the reputation of the Coen brothers.
Hilarity and chaos are set to ensue once more in this viewing of a modern classic, with John Goodman, John Turturro, Steve Buscemi and Julianne Moore, to name but a few, continuing to breathe life into a fan favourite.
The performance is part of The Tonic Classic Film Club and is a seated venue.
Tickets for The Big Lebowski’s May 31 show are £8 and available from
