Known for bringing great music, vibes and craic to Belfast, AVA Festival makes its return to the Titanic Slipway this weekend for a two-day extravaganza on Friday June 2 and Saturday June 3.
Following the overwhelming success of last year’s feat, the iconic Titanic Slipway will host the festival for the second time, bringing an even bigger event to the heart of the Northern Irish capital.
AVA Festival 2023 promises to bring international headliners such as Central Cee, Peggy Gou, Ben UFO and Sally C to one of its four stand-out stages, as well as showcasing local currently-undiscovered talent to boost the Belfast scene.
A new addition this year, the Pump House stage completes the list of the four viewing platforms available for attendees to witness over the weekend, adding to the existing Main Stage, The Nomadic and The Grasses.
Specialising in the visual experience of a festival as well as providing audiences with stellar songs, the Pump House is a must-visit for anyone looking to be fully immersed in an atmosphere like no other this year.
If dancing the night away in an intimate space isn’t what you had on the cards for AVA Festival 2023, the remaining three stages all offer unique outcomes to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festival how they want to.
Guaranteeing the biggest names across both nights, the Main Stage is where you can find the very best world-renowned talent, so prepare yourself for big crowds and big energy.
The Nomadic is also home to some pretty big events, having started as a space for local DJs and now becoming the only livestreamed part of the whole event, bringing the Boiler Room straight to your living room.
For a quieter night, The Grasses is the smallest space on the site but still hosts some extraordinary names, with the full line-up, staging and times being available on the AVA website.
Genres of artists performing spectacular sets range from techno and house to rap and grime, so take your pick from the extensive line-up and visit your favourites, or swap between the bunch for a night filled with surprises.
With the docks, Cave Hill, Samson & Goliath and the architectural delight of the Titanic Museum as its backdrop, there’s no surprise that the eclectic array of tunes isn’t the only great part of the festival.
Attendees can avail of the various stalls in the centre of the premises, including the likes of merchandise, lost property and more.
Bring an empty bottle and stay hydrated with the free refillable water station on offer before drinking the night away with pints and pitchers from the bar.
Don’t forget to pick up a delicious pizza from the Belfast Woodfired Pizza Co. who are on hand in their food truck to serve you the tastiest doughy delights, catering to all dietary requirements.
The festival’s ninth year is sure to be a special one, so grab your tickets whilst you still can.
