The Trick to Making It Easy For Customers to Buy Your Products

There are several different ways to encourage customers to buy your products. As well as good marketing, good advertising, and good salesmanship, there’s another method that works surprisingly well. People like things to be convenient for them, and the easier you make it for people to buy your products, the more likely they will go for it.

Buying in Person

Depending on your business, the lion’s share of your sales will be in person. People like to buy in person because they can touch the product and it’s easier to imagine using it. You also have the human touch and can use salesmanship to make the sale.

If you want to make in-person sales easier for your customers, a lot of this comes down to training. Make sure that your employees are aware of when a customer wants assistance and can make themselves available to help them.

You can also use impulse purchases, which are small purchases that are incredibly easy to just pick up and buy on impulse. While this is just a small bonus to your sales, it adds up if a lot of your customers spend an extra little bit on every purchase.

Make sure that your point of sale system is functional and allows people to just pay with their card or phone.

Online Purchasing

The king of convenient purchases has to be online shopping. You do sacrifice some of your tools as a salesperson, but people do appreciate being able to buy things in the comfort of their own homes.

You can still improve your online sales with good product pictures and descriptions. You also need to think about the functionality of your website and your checkout system. If people have to spend ages and give their email addresses before they can make a purchase, they might get frustrated.

Even worse, if they do all of that and your checkout fails or gets hacked, your company will have a poor reputation. Make sure that it’s safe, simple, and easy for them to make a purchase. While it’s good to get contact information, give people the option to quickly buy the product.

Subscriptions and Repeat Payments

One of the best ways to make things easier for your customers and to up your sales is with subscriptions and repeat payments. Whether people buy one item and pay in installments, or they get a regular order, this does mean knowing how to set up recurring credit card charges so your customers don’t have to fill in their details every time.

These are both fantastic ways to make it easier for people to buy your products. Many people might be unwilling to buy an expensive product if they can’t break up the payment, and instalments will encourage them to spread out the costs.

On the other hand, subscriptions are fantastic ways to get more repeat customers, as it’s incredibly easy for them to keep buying your products and never run out.
