One of the most iconic musicals of all time is making a spectacular return to Belfast — and the cast has just been revealed.
Miss Saigon, the powerful love story set during the final days of the Vietnam War, will arrive at the Grand Opera House Belfast from Tuesday 10 to Saturday 21 March 2026 as part of a major new UK and Ireland tour produced by Michael Harrison in association with theatre titan Cameron Mackintosh.
Leading the cast is Seann Miley Moore, reprising their critically acclaimed role as The Engineer after wowing audiences across Australia and Asia. The X Factor UK star and international performer previously earned the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Performance in a Musical at the Time Out Sydney Awards for the role.
Joining them is rising star Julianne Pundan, a recent Brit School graduate making her professional debut as Kim — the young Vietnamese woman at the heart of the musical’s tragic romance. Opposite her is Jack Kane as Chris, an American GI torn between love and duty. Kane’s screen credits include Dragonheart: Vengeance and Russell T Davies’ Years and Years.
Also confirmed are Dom Hartley-Harris (Hamilton, Dreamgirls) as John, and Emily Langham (Singin’ in the Rain, Hello, Dolly!) as Ellen, with a large ensemble of emerging and established talent completing the company.
Boublil and Schönberg’s Miss Saigon is a reimagining of Madame Butterfly, set against the backdrop of war-torn Saigon. With unforgettable songs including The Movie in My Mind, The Heat Is On in Saigon, and Last Night of the World, it became one of the most successful musicals in West End and Broadway history.
This new touring production is helmed by director Jean-Pierre van der Spuy and choreographers Chrissie Cartwright and Carrie-Anne Ingrouille (of SIX The Musical), with set and costume design by Andrew D. Edwards, and lighting by Olivier Award-winner Bruno Poet.
The announcement comes alongside news of additional 2026 dates due to “phenomenal demand”, with venues across the UK already seeing box office records tumble. Mackintosh said: “Tickets are flying out of the box office. This cast is full of exciting discoveries — I can’t wait to see Miss Saigon reborn again.”
Since its London debut in 1989, Miss Saigon has been performed in 33 countries and 15 languages, winning over 75 major awards and seen by more than 38 million people worldwide. The 2014 revival and subsequent UK tour reignited public passion for the musical, with this new tour set to build on that legacy.
For Belfast theatregoers, this will be a chance to witness the epic story brought to life by a thrilling new generation of performers and creatives.
